Constitution for the better government of the state.

In order to assert our rights, acknowledge our duties, and proclaim the
principles on which our government is founded, we declare:
I 1 Source of political power — origin, basis and aim of

government. — That all political power is vested in and derived from the
people; that all government of right originates from the people, is founded
upon their will only, and is instituted solely for the good of the whole.

equality under the law — purpose of government. — That all constitutional
government is intended to promote the general welfare of the people; that all
persons have a natural right to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and the
enjoyment of the gains of their own industry; that all persons are created

give security to these things is the principal office of government, and that

protesters marching past their mansion in an upscale St. Louis neighborhood
Husband and wife, Mark and Patricia McCloskey could be seen aiming the guns
at demonstrators who walked by their palatial property in St. Louis on Sunday
Mark held a large assault weapon while his wife Patty held a handgun.
The protesters were en route to Mayor Lyda Krewson's home to demand her
resignation. Mayor Krewson released names and addresses of residents who suggested
defunding the police department. The couple are both personal injury
